Audience and Genre.

we have been trying to come up with an over all theme or Genre for our film. We Have assessed several genres, like horror, thriller, drama, adventure and a few more. We have finally settled on Crime Drama. We chose this, as we built the story around our characters passed experiences, and how they will effect him through out the film. His passed life was one of crime, and its all about how he tries to escape it, but he cant, and his previous life comes back to haunt him.

As for Audience, we feel that this film would suit the kind of audience that is looking for a deep plot, and a lot of character development, as at the beginning of the film, you are meant to know very little about the character and his past, and as the film develops, you learn more. This also comes with part of the genre, as a good amount of crime dramas use more in depth stories, which contribute to the overall style of the film.

We also feel out film would be under the 15 age rating, as our film has elements of crime throughout the film, and the plot maybe to detailed for someone under this age bracket to grasp properly. There is also scenes of violence deeper into the film, which would be unsuitable to younger audiences. Crime dramas usually never fall under this age bracket, as a good amount of them contain scenes of violence, drug use and other themes like this. Most tv crime dramas are shown after 9:00 or the watershed, so although they don t have a direct age, the time they are shown usually dictates who it is suitable.
